HUNTER comes from Canada and "Here and Now" is their latest self financed release which includes ten tracks. They released it last year and their music can be described as melodic rock , with easily likable songs, most of their tracks could be played in the radio shows, easy peasy, as they have super catchy refrains and you can remember them easily. Songs like: "Control" or "Two Hearts" and "Let it be now" are few of the tracks that are the highlights from this album. Scott Hunter has a beautiful voice, a very melodic and emotional voice. I think he fulfils perfectly his role. It was a pleasure to hear their album; it was like an oasis in the middle of a desert. Definitely all the fans of melodic rock should check this album immediately. Don't make the mistake and miss this one. I hope that the guys will release their new album soon.

HUNTER ‘HERE AND NOW’ (INDEPENDENT)
A very original band from Canada, because HUNTER is playing a fantastic mix between Progressive Rock (of the RUSH kind) and AOR (a la JOURNEY), ending up sounding a bit like HEARTLAND, but then again not, because this HUNTER has created an own style, which is original and still very melodic. Songs like “Words”, “Live”, “Two hearts” and “Couldn’t be without you” (beautiful aor ballad a la HONEYMOON SUITE) are superb progressive aor songs that will probably be loved by fans of both genres. The band has a very good singer called SCOTT HUNTER, who is also the leader of the band and plays guitar on the CD. I was quite surprised to hear such a great unknown band, but I am glad to be aware of them, so I can easily recommend this HUNTER to any AOR and Progfan out there, trust me, they have something to offer from both genres, while still being an original band playing their own kind of style. A great music CD offering from an awesome local band. "Here and Now" is a adult oriented rock offering with accents of styles used by such groups as U2, Honeymoon Suite and the original non-pop sounds of Duran-Duran but with Hunter's own unique style.
